The Great Nottingham Duck Race

Great Nottingham Duck Race
Organised by Rotary Clubs of Trent Bridge & Long Eaton Dawnbreakers
In Partnership With Our Main Sponsor - John A Stephens Ltd.

Our 2019 Duck Race is on Sunday 4th August

Our annual charity Duck Race has taken place since 1998 and is part of the Nottingham's Riverside Festival Weekend. Over the years we have enjoyed great support from our sponsors and the local community raising in excess of £25,000 for local good causes.

The Riverside Festival is Nottingham's biggest FREE festival weekend offering three days of colourful entertainment. It is a unique festival covering one mile along the banks of the River Trent, at Victoria Embankment, adjacent to the historical Trent Bridge.

The Festival features both old and new attractions; from steam engines and organs to a large street fun fair.

Four music stages offer a range of music styles throughout the weekend including Jazz, Folk, World Music and a showcase of the best of local talent. A series of smaller venues also provide street performers and other entertainment.

The festival offers a children's zone which includes children's entertainment, arts, crafts and participatory activities along with a permanent paddling pool and play area.

A craft Fair, and lots of other stalls, plus information and promotional stands including Motor manufacturers Major Brand promotions and a diverse range of food outlets and bars are on offer.

River activities on the Sunday include Dragon Boat racing with around 20 teams taking part and a charity Duck Race

On Saturday evening at around 10.30pm there is a spectacular firework display, which is the highlight of the weekend festivities.
